It's almost June and we've had a busy year so far! We welcomed twin girls to our family in early April, as well as 22 lambs and our 2013 Farm Crew! We are excited about the 2013 season and changes we have made to our CSA, with our animals, our irrigation, our apprenticeship program and so on...read on for an update!
This year was our first offering a Spring CSA and despite the cold start we had plenty of greens and roots to offer each week. We are thrilled that our Summer CSA is sold out, with 150 families joining us this year! Because of the cold, wet weather we have delayed our Summer CSA start date by 2 weeks to June 12th. Our season will still be 20 weeks long, extending the extra 2 weeks into October. This year we will once again offer our Fall CSA, for the weeks running up to mid-December, so stay tuned for details about that this summer!
We are excited for our 2nd Annual Robinette Solstice Party on Saturday, June 15th from 3-10pm! Join us for the best of soul, funk and R&B with Josh Hoyer and the Shadowboxers and opening act Jack Hotel, both from right here in Lincoln! We'll have Robinette food artfully prepared by Rolling Fire Catering, locally made dessert from Gelato to Go, local beer from Blue Blood Brewing and wine from WunderRosa Winery just down the road!

Old Cheney Road Farmers' Market
Each Sunday through October we are at the Old Cheney Road Farmers' Market from 10am to 2pm! This is a fantastic producers only market, offering lots of fresh veggies, cheeses, flowers, bread and baked goods, jams, honey, pasta, and more! Our stand is at the very West end of the market, so be sure to walk the whole loop and say hello!
*NEW this year at the Old Cheney Road Farmers' Market--our very own grassfed lamb! Each week we've got chops, leg of lamb, ground, and shoulder roast. And don't forget to grab some bacon or other pork cuts from our hormone and antibiotic-free pigs!
Good Life Fitness Market and CSA
This year, we offered a second Summer CSA pick up at Good Life Fitness on 3rd and Van Dorn. Along with our CSA pick up we will be bringing extra veggies and eggs for a mini-market on Saturday mornings from 9-11am. Check our Facebook page regularly for updates and info on what we'll have at the mini-market. It's a great opportunity to get an early morning workout in and then grab your veggies for the weekend!

This is an event organized by Open Harvest Coop Grocery in Lincoln, featuring 5 local farms that supply to the Coop. The farms on the tour are open from 12-4pm on Saturday and you can stop at 1 farm or all 5 if you are really motivated!
We'll have self-guided tours as well as guided tours by our farmers.

PRAIRIE HILL Learning Center (seven miles south of Lincoln) welcomes your children to join us for camp this summer! This is a great place to spend time in nature, be creative, learn new skills, meet
terrific friends, and have a blast -- all the while engaging in habits that demonstrate respect and sustainability to the earth.
We offer half-day camps for children three to six years old and full-day camps for children six through twelve years old. Each day will include some gardening, care of farm animals, pony/horse riding, time in our twelve acres of unspoiled prairie and woods, as well as work with a specialist determined by each session's camp theme. Robinette Farms will be selling meat and produce in the parking lot south of Leon's Gourmet Grocer (2200 Winthrop Road) tomorrow, Wednesday, October 12th, from 4-6pm!
Our 2011 Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program has ended for the season, but the weather is still beautiful and so are all the veggies coming out of the field.
For the next few weeks at least, look for a Tuesday email from us with meat and produce availability. If you'd like to pre-order meat on a weekly basis, check out our online meat store (details below). We'll bring some of everything, but show up early for the good stuff!

Salad Mix, Arugula, Spicy Greens, Kale, Chard, Broccoli Raab, Bok Choy, Cilantro, Dill, Parsley, Turnips, Beets, Potatoes, Green Tomatoes, Red Tomatoes, Cherry Tomatoes, Eggplant, Bell Peppers, Hot Peppers, Onions and Garlic. Frozen Beef, Pork and Chicken.
Online Meat Store
You can order meat for pickup on Wednesday evenings at Leon's by visiting our meat store. Place your order for individual cuts of beef or pork, and for whole chickens. Pay for your meat when you pick up on Wednesday evening!
*Please note: we will not know the exact weight of your meat order until pickup, so your online total will be listed as $0.00.*
*Meat Store is open Thursday through Tuesday, and is closed Wednesday for order packaging.*

We are proud to announce that our on-farm Self-Serve Farm Stand is open! We invite folks to stop by, grab some veggies and eggs and of course, say hello and thanks to the chickens!
Open Daily 10am to 7pm. Look for the sign at the road!
We are excited to be offering Pastured Pork raised right here at Robinette Farms! Right now, you can find our pork every Saturday at the Haymarket Farmers' Market. In the next couple of weeks, we'll also have it at the Old Cheney Road Farmers' Market on Sundays. All of our pigs are raised without the use of steroids, hormones and antibiotics. They lived a comfortable life rooting through a large wooded area inbetween our fields and our farmstead. Interested in learning more? Stop by and chat with us at market before you take that bacon home!
Every Thursday is volunteer day on the Farm!
Come out between 9am and noon to join us in the fields. We'll be weeding, planting or working on a project around the farm. Stay for as little or as long as you like!
Kids are welcome, but no pets please. Remember to wear closed toed shoes(no sandals), bring water and a snack, sunscreen and a hat.

We just got notice that we have been accepted at the Haymarket Farmer' Market for this season!
We are excited to be a new produce vendor at the Haymarket for the 2011 season. We will be offering our produce, grown without the use of chemicals and our meats raised on pasture later in the season.
The market starts on Saturday, May 7th, from 8am to noon --- we'll see you there!
