Our Mission

We are passionate about the power of food to connect people and land for mutual benefit.  Our operations in Lancaster and Pawnee Counties strive to provide quality service that builds healthy people and communities while enhancing our natural resources. Here’s how we fulfill our Mission:

 

• Local Food Subscription and Online Farm Store - We partner with dozens of local farmers, ranchers and food producers to bring you the best local food available in convenient, customizable programs that help your family eat healthy, local foods while keeping your dollars in Nebraska.

• Organic Baby Greens - We grow a wide variety of certified organic baby greens like salad mixes, spinach, arugula, head lettuce and more.  Find these through our Local Food Subscription and Online Farm Store.

• Organic Micro Greens - In a specialized greenhouse we grow certified organic micro greens that add unique flavors and high-nutritional content to any meal.  Eat cancer-fighting broccoli micros, boost your fiber and Vitamin C with pea shoots, or discover intense flavors like Spicy Mix Micros, among many other choices.  You can find our micro greens through our Local Food Subscription, Online Farm Store, and through select local grocery stores (link?).

• Grass Finished Beef - We are firm believers in the taste, tenderness, nutritional value and positive environmental impact of beef raised entirely on diverse, healthy grasslands.  Find our beef by the cut through our Local Food Subscription or Online Farm Store, and in quarters, halves and wholes via our Bulk Beef sales.

• Custom Grazed Cattle and Meat Goats - We care for hundreds of other ranchers’ cattle, as well as even more of our own goats on grasslands in Pawnee County, NE.  Learn more about the ecosystem that built the Great Plains and how eating locally fits into grassland conservation (link to Grasslands).
