Food is more than what ends up on your plate. We believe it’s important to know where your food comes from, how it’s grown, and who grows it. Every egg, vegetable, and loaf of bread in your weekly Local Food Subscription box tells a story about Nebraska family farms, our soil, and a shared commitment to doing things right.
Why Local Matters
When you buy local food in Lincoln and Omaha, you’re supporting the people who make our Nebraska communities thrive. From the farmers who wake up before sunrise to the bakers who knead dough by hand, we support local producers who pour their heart and hard work into each item in our subscription box. Local food is fresher and better for the environment because it doesn't travel thousands of miles to reach you.
How we Choose our Producers
At Robinette Farms, we believe food is more than what ends up on your plate. We partner with Nebraska farmers who share our values: sustainability, transparency, and care for the land. Our team personally visits farms, meets with producers, and samples their products before bringing them into our network.
Our farmers have:
A passion for community and craftsmanship that goes beyond profit.
Transparent growing practices (from conventional to Certified Organic) - you know exactly what products come from what farms and how they grow your food
A desire to grow healthy and delicious food to sell locally
Care for the land they steward and the animals they tend
We’re proud that every partner we work with has become part of our extended farm family.
Nebraska Partners We Work With
Each week, your Local Food Subscription box includes the best from local producers in Nebraska we know, trust, and love. Some of our partners include:
Dutch Girl Creamery (Lincoln, NE) – Artisanal cheeses made with milk from Nebraska cows and goats.
Le Quartier Bakery (Lincoln and Omaha, NE) – Freshly baked bread loaves and pastries made in the style of a traditional French Bakery.
Cultiva Coffee (Lincoln, NE) – A coffee roastery based in Lincoln, creating bean goodness and cold brew.
Gare Bare Honey (Lincoln, NE) – Raw honey straight from local hives, with Nebraska wildflower flavor. Pick from hot honey, cinnamon honey, garlic-infused honey, and pure raw honey.
Each one of our producers represents part of the network of people growing and creating food right here at home!

Making the Farmers’ Market Accessible Year-Round
Our Local Food Subscription is a year-round farmers’ market on wheels. When the summer markets close, we keep the connection alive by delivering fresh produce, dairy, meat, pantry staples, and more right to your neighborhood or doorstep! You get the same quality and freshness you love from the farmers’ market, without having to check the weather or rush out early on a Saturday or Sunday morning.
In addition to sourcing from trusted partner farms, Robinette Farms grows a wide variety of microgreens, salad greens, and grass-finished beef on our own farm. Our goal is to support busy families with the freshest, healthiest foods possible—our microgreens and salad greens are USDA Certified Organic, and our beef is raised entirely on pasture for exceptional flavor, nutrition, and peace of mind.
When bulk purchasing our 100% grass-finished beef, you can choose exactly how much you want, reserve your portion with a non-refundable deposit, and select whether you’d like to pick it up at the processor for free or have it delivered to your doorstep. After reserving, you’ll receive a confirmation email with a link to submit your cutting instructions—your chance to customize everything from roast sizes and steak thickness to whether you’d like brisket, short ribs, soup bones, organ meats, or jerky. You’ll pay Robinette Farms based on the hanging weight of your animal, then pay the processor separately for packaging when you pick up your order or when we deliver it!
The Bigger Picture: Community Impact
Buying local food in Lincoln and Omaha doesn’t just taste good, it does good too! Shorter supply chains result in fewer transportation emissions. When you choose Robinette Farms Local Food Subscription, you’re sustaining the land, the farmers, and the local economy that make Nebraska strong.
Thank you for being part of our local food community. Together we’re building a more connected and flavorful future for everyone!
